Job Description

About UsBGI Retail is a one-stop-shop serving leading North American retailers and brands for more than 30 years. Our in-house capabilities include design, engineering, prototyping, manufacturing, and installation of store environments.We are in Paris, ON, off Highway 403, 10 minutes from downtown Brantford. Easy access from Hamilton, Stoney Creek, Burlington, Cambridge, Kitchener-Waterloo, and Woodstock. Must have reliable transportation as there are no buses on this route.Responsibilities: The CNC Brake Press Operator will be responsible for setup, operation, general maintenance of a CNC Amada Brake Press, periodic quality checks and measurements, documenting completed work and ensuring a clean work environment.Requirements:

  • 3+ years as a Brake Press Set-Up Operator experience
  • Experience using measuring tools: tape measures, Vernier calipers, height gauge, etc.
  • Metal fabrication experience with blueprint reading ability
  • Understanding metric and imperial measurements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Capable of working alone or in a team environment
  • Committed to safe work practices
  • Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively
  • Amada experience preferred but not limited to
Working Conditions:
  • Standing, walking, grasping for 8 hours/day
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 50lb
  • Exposure to humid and noisy environment
  • Repetitive tasks
  • Hand-eye co-ordination
Schedule:
  • Days: Mon – Fri, 7am – 3:30pm (multiple positions available)
  • Swing: Mon – Thurs, 12pm – 10pm (4x 10hr shifts - multiple positions available)
  • Afternoons: Mon – Thurs, 3:30pm – 1:30am (4x 10hr shifts - multiple positions available)
