With experience in crushing processes, knowledge of maintenance of mobile crushing plants, torch cutting and welding the Plant Leadhand will lead by example supporting alignment with all functional groups, Environment, Land, Manufacturing and Safety to drive communication and consistency. Primary focus is leveraging operational excellence to achieve the highest productivity at the lowest cost. Ensures Lafarge is viewed as a valued member of the industry and local communities in which it operates.ResponsibilitiesSafety Culture:Develop and instill a site level safety culture through consistent engagement with employees and contractors with an objective of “zero” harm; Lead daily huddles to demonstrate commitment to workplace safety; Assist in the preparation for and participation in periodic health & safety site audits; and assist in the administration of the site Contractor Safety Management program, by completing site orientations, where required, and regularly auditing contractor performance to ensure compliance to applicable local and regional health & safety policies.Must have crushing experience in portable inpactors, portable screenings, portable conveyors and stackers with the ability to service and repair as needed.Equipment: Ensure assigned equipment is operated and maintained to original equipment manufacturer specifications and industry best practices. Experience with excavator, loader, and skid steer.Maintenance: Perform daily inspections as part of our preventative maintenance programFinancial Management:Assist in planning, driving and tracking financial performance. Forecast profitability and production to optimize yield.Environmental Management:Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of the site.
