The OpportunityAre you interested in having the Hotel opportunity to be involved in being part of a destination experience involving a full Oceanfront Property on Vancouver IslandLook no further! Evergreen Hotel Group is based in British Columbia and own, operate and manage over 12 properties across the Vancouver Island, Sunshine Coast and Fraser Valley. Evergreen Hotel Group is seeking to hire a General Manager for a Hotel Property on Vancouver Island (Victoria or Parksville).The General Manager Oversees all aspects of the hotel operations, including guest relations, front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, teambuilding, and staff development. Responsible for all phases of hotel management, including sales and marketing, HR, and revenue management. Empowers associates to provide superior customer care to guests, associates, and other visitors. He/She should be an ambassador for the brand and hotel. Provide leadership and strategic planning to all departments in support of our service culture, maximized operations and guest satisfaction. Work very closely with the hotel owners and other stake holders.Responsible for managing the Hotels management team and overall hotel targets to deliver an excellent Guest experience. A General Manager would also be required to manage between profitability and guest satisfaction measures.GM Duties And Responsibilities· Accountable for the overseeing of the operation functions of the hotel as per Owner’s expectations.· Hold regular briefings and meetings with all head of departments.· Ensure full compliance to Hotel operating controls, policies, procedures and service standards.· Responsible for the Sales & Marketing of the property to ensure the Hotel is effectively positioned in the market· Lead all key property issues including customer service and refurbishment.· Handling complaints, and oversee the service recovery procedures.· Manage on-going profitability of the hotel, ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded.· Ensure decisions are made in the best interest of the hotel and management.· Deliver hotel budget goals and set other short and long-term strategic goals for the property.· Developing improvement actions, to ensure the property and experience is always improving.· Closely monitor the hotel business reports on a daily basis and take decisions accordingly.· Maximizing room yield and hotels revenue through innovative sales practices and yield management programs.· Prepare a monthly reporting for the owners and stake holders on revenue, occupancy, guest relations.· Critical to the hiring of a high performing operational team.· Coordination with management team for the execution of all activities and functions.· Overseeing and managing all departments on a daily basis.· Be accountable for responsibilities of department heads and take ownership of all guest complaints.· Provide effective leadership to hotel team members.· Assisting in room sales as and when required and development of strong sales prospects.· Responsible for safeguarding the quality of operations both (internal & external audits).PrerequisitesThe ideal candidate is a seasoned and highly intelligent hotel professional with outstanding, management skills and extensive hands-on experience. Available to work when needed, including weekends and holidays.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per yearAdditional pay:
