Job Description

Fall is coming! Outside Concepts is expanding and hiring (1) new team member.This job is an outdoor, seasonal position usually lasting between September to December.

  • Valid drivers license required. Transportation to and from work also required.
  • Steel-toed boots and rain gear required. gloves and eye protection can be provided.
  • Landscaping/horticultural experience an asset, but not necessary.
Tasks include:
  • Beds Maintenace, weeding, pruning, hedging, leave & debris cleanup.
  • Lawn care, fertilizing, mowing, trimming, blowing.
  • Mulch, gravel, soil & sand installation.
  • Landscaping projects.

Outside Concepts is a landscaping & lawn care company that uses pay-for-performance systems and bonuses to incentive our team to effectively deliver our clients outdoor desires. A strong work ethic and willingness to learn will get you far.Pros

  • Training will be provided. Our staff is trained in horticulture, irrigation, arboristry, small engine repair and general plant identification.
  • Outdoors! Most of our clients are near oceanfront. Nothing like weeding a garden bed while feeling the ocean breeze and taking in the view of Vancouver island.
  • Friendly team atmosphere. No discrimination and positivity is a must.

  • Outdoors. We work outside in all weather conditions, within reason.
  • Bugs. I hate spiders. Unfortunately they like landscapers.
  • Sun exposure. We do our best to go above and beyond WCB standards. However, with ever increasing climate change, the sun glow hot yo.
  • Physically-demanding. Tasks like hedging can be very taxing on upper-body muscles.
