Job Description

There is an exciting opportunity to become part of the Team at the Parksville Boathouse. We are currently looking for a new Parts Manager to grow with the Company.Parksville Boathouse is a successful and growing Marine Sales & Service center located on beautiful Vancouver Island in operation since 1991 We are a Yamaha, Mercruiser, Mercury & Volvo Dealership. At the Parksville Boathouse we pride ourselves in excellent customer service and top-notch expertise.What we offer:· We compensate based on experience in the marine industry. Skills & Abilities· Strong background in Inventory Management· Administrative skills: word, excel and internal parts control program· Marine mechanical/rigging knowledge or understanding· Knowledge of Yamaha, Mercruiser, Mercury & Volvo products an asset· Self-Starter and able to work independently· Strong written and verbal communicator· Hands-on multitasker· Works well with others as a team· Positive can do attitude and good customers skills· Accountable and open to a fun fast pace changing environmentDuties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing our inventory, updating quantities and re-ordering stock when needed
  • Communicating and reviewing needed parts, costs and time constraints with clients and staff
  • Finalizing repair orders and sales (invoicing and cash out)
  • Conduct follow up calls with clients on quotes issued and services performed
  • Ensuring Technicians have parts needed in timely manner
  • Preparing/providing product quotes
  • Ordering parts and/or sublet services as required to satisfy client requirements
  • Ensuring top-level customer service with professionalism and responsiveness at all times
  • Take ownership to better streamline current systems by finding potential inefficiencies and work with management to provide solutions and be eager to help modernize and develop the Parts department to the next level

Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of Inventory Management
  • Ability to work with internal inventory control program, Microsoft Word and Excel.
