THIS POSITION IS LOCATED AT OUR PARKSVILLE LOCATIONAre you looking to start your career We have RV Tech Apprentice positions available at our 7 Vancouver Island service locations, Sidney, Mill Bay, Ladysmith, Nanaimo, Parksville, Courtenay, and Port Alberni.The Arbutus RV Apprentice Program can help set you on a path to becoming a Red Seal RV Tech! Apprenticeship is a post-secondary pathway consisting of on-the-job training provided by an employer and technical training delivered at a college or vocational school. The training combines alternating periods of on-the-job and technical classroom-based training.While most trades require six to ten weeks of technical training each year. On average, RV service technician technical training spans 8 weeks per period of training. Technical training occurs at Vancouver Island University in Nanaimo B.C.Unlike most trade programs that require a 4-year apprenticeship, the RV service technician apprenticeship program is only three years. Once the apprentice completes the required technical training and on-the-job work experience hours or modules, the apprentice can write the exam for their Red Seal certification.
