Job Description

308 A Sheet Metal TechnicianGo Industries is looking for a reliable and hardworking Sheet Metal Technician who will be responsible for installations for our client’s commercial, industrial, and residential customers.The Opportunity:We are looking for an experienced full-time Sheet Metal Technician to join our prestigious heating and cooling client’s team. This is a full-time opportunity with plenty of opportunities to learn and grow.Responsibilities:

  • Proficient ability to install but not limited to HVAC units, gas piping (high/ low pressure, welded) flashings, exhaust fans, kitchen hoods, grease ducts, ductless spilled units, radiant heaters, and respective supportive frameworks.
  • Must understand new construction home ductwork and be able to compete from conception to completion.
  • All finished jobs must adhere to project manager/engineer drawings for heat loss reports.
  • Utilize and interpret blueprints to determine how and where to fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal assemblies.
  • Measure, mark dimensions and layout material to be installed, and select the appropriate type and gauge of sheet metal to be used in projects according to specifications.
  • Fasten joints and seams in sheet metal with TDC, Cleats, bolts, and welded joints.
  • Ensure that efficiency is maximized while installing HVAC systems while in a fast-paced environment.
  • Start-up and commissioning of HVAC equipment.
  • Ensure making safety a priority on the job during all activities, including while using tools, installing, and fabricating duct systems.
  • Good housekeeping and organization.
  • Work well independently.
Qualifications:
  • Registered for 308 A apprentice.
  • G2 Gas license is a bonus.
  • Valid G license with a clean driver abstract.
  • Commercial and industrial experience is an asset.
  • Must be competent in reading blueprint and electrical and electronic schematics.
  • Must have basic knowledge of construction methods.
  • Must be able to operate tools, gauges, and other testing equipment for HVAC systems.
Pay rate:
  • Up to $40.00 per hour for the right candidate.
