Job Description

309 A Electrical JourneymanGo Industries is looking for an ambitious and dedicated Electrical Journeyperson who will be responsible for all electrical work including layout, installation, and repairs for our client’s commercial, industrial, and residential customers.The Opportunity:We are looking for an experienced full-time 309A Electrical Journeyperson to join our prestigious heating and cooling client’s team. This is a full-time opportunity with plenty of opportunities to learn and grow.Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations.
  • Sourcing or fabricating replacement electrical components.
  • Pull wire through conduits and through holes in walls and floors.
  • Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment.
  • Install, replace, and repair lighting fixtures and electrical control and distribution equipment, such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels.
  • Splice, join, and connect the wire to fixtures and components to form circuits.
  • Test continuity of circuits using test equipment to ensure compatibility and safety of the system, following installation, replacement, or repair.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems and remove and replace faulty components.
  • Connect electrical power to audio and visual communication equipment, signaling devices, and heating and cooling systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
Qualifications:
  • 309A Electrician OR 4th year 309A Apprentice.
  • Strong understanding of Ontarios electrical code.
  • Valid Driver’s license with clean abstract.
  • Able to work at multiple sites in Ontario Primarily in the Hamilton area.
  • Experience working in other trades is a bonus. (HVAC/Plumbing/Renovations)
Pay rate:
  • Up to $ 35.00 per hour for the right candidate.
