Job Description

Join our team!As a key member of our team, our foh manager must ensure the front of house operates smoothly, with sufficient stock and staff at all times. The ideal candidate in this position must thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, maintaining a courteous demeanour with customers, as well as effectively make use of downtime.Strong leadership and personnel management skills should be accompanied by a customer service orientation and commitment to company values and image.The foh manager pays close attention to all operational details to ensure the comfort, safety and enjoyment of guests and job satisfaction of staff, as well as the financial success of the establishment.Responsibilities:

  • Reports directly to the Owners.
  • Consistently strives to exceed guest expectations and experience to provide the highest level of service.
  • Contributes creative input and collaboration on promotional and seasonal alcohol menus and features.
  • Provides shift coverage in case of employee absence and adjusts daily staffing as necessary to meet business demands.
  • Completes daily social media postings to promote current and future feature food, drink and event promotions. In compliance with all company policies, rules and regulations.
  • Contributes to 7 shifts, posting content when required to inform front of house staff of policy changes, promotions or events.
  • Oversees day to day front of house operations, supervising that staff are completing the daily and weekly duties within the required positions.
  • Scheduling specific front of house cleaning duties or maintenance that is required to operate the company, within compliance with all company policies, rules and regulations.
  • Completes inventory sheets weekly and provides those sheets to upper management every Saturday to assist in the ordering process.
  • Supervises inventory of beverages to ensure that adequate stock is maintained and recorded by Bartenders on duty to prevent excess pours or abuse by staff.
  • Oversee cleanliness and organization of staff, front of house, patio and bar areas. Within company standards and also paying special attention to possible health hazards and code violations.
  • Assists in training of Bar/Serving staff in compliance with all company policies, rules and regulations.
  • Supervises that the front of house staff are in compliance of the company mandated uniform policy.
  • Resolve customer complaints promptly and in accordance with all company policies, rules and regulations.
  • Supervises that front of house staff are completing all opening and closing duties that are mandated for the assigned shift and position.
  • Oversees that front of house staff are implementing the company level of service standards.
  • Oversee and assist in the training of current and future preparation of beverages to ensure the quality and consistency of product served.
  • Supervises that front of house staff are aware and following the company outlined various daily ambiance procedures. These requirements and adjustments change seasonally throughout the year.
*Skills:
  • Proficiency with point-of-sale software.
  • Extensive working knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Knowledge of AGCO regulations and health code compliance.
  • Competency in resource management and inventory control.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles, personnel management and marketing.
