When you work with Optima Living you will feel welcomed, supported, motivated:Reporting to the Director of Care or designate, and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, the RN will work closely with other front line team members to provide high quality care and services to residents. The RN supports the team it works with in creating a warm, respectful, positive, safe, supportive culture for our residents, their families and other team members. As part of their role, the RN ensures care and services provided to the residents aligns with organizational polices, care standards and regulations. Responsibilities:The ability to take initiative; able to work independently and energized by developing the skills and abilities of others both inside and outside personal area of expertiseDemonstrate the ability and temperament to deal tactfully, effectively, and cooperatively with residents, family members, contract agencies, team members, leadership, and visitorsLifetime learner, quick study, and able to communicate and teach new concepts to othersDriven toward quality outcomes in all disciplines. Ability to implement and support quality improvements and organizational quality initiativesEmbraces and supports person centered care, holistic care, and resident personhoodThe ability to support all team members who provide resident care and servicesUnderstanding and ability to demonstrate advocacy What you will need to succeedQualified Registered Nurse (RN)Minimum of 1 year experience in residential care is considered an assetAn equivalent combination of experience and qualifications acceptable to the facilityExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalStrong computer literacyConducts oneself in a professional mannerDemonstrates and supports the Vision, Mission, and ValuesEnergetic, positive, a natural leader who has the personal skills to motivate, encourage and support team membersPossesses the physical capabilities required for this roleClear Police Information CheckClear Vulnerable Sector CheckCOVID-19 vaccination.
