Ready to join US Division: Peterborough Radio – 101.5 The WOLF and 100.5 FRESH Radio Work Status: Full-Time Location: Peterborough, ON (Onsite) About the Role: Corus Radio is looking for a full-time Audio Producer to join the dynamic team at 101.5 The WOLF and 100.5 FRESH in Peterborough. Reporting to the Program Manager, the successful candidate would collaborate with clients and internal teams to produce station imaging, commercials, and promotions – essentially creating the distinctive auditory identity or “sound” of our radio station brands. This role requires exceptional production skills and a creative ability to bring words to life through sound. This is a Group 2 position under the current collective agreement. You will contribute by:Producing station imaging, promotions, and commercials for 100.5 Fresh Radio and 101.5 The Wolf (including giveaways, contesting, client requests, etc.). Creating targeted and effective radio advertising campaigns that drive revenue, ensure client satisfaction, and yield results – including spec spots. Coordinating and gathering elements needed to produce pieces, such as voicers; outsourcing when necessary. Coaching announcers/clients for the best performance during voicing spots. Collaborating with multiple internal departments to turn the “creative vision” into impactful content. Crafting the sound of the radio station through pre-produced pieces. Exercising your creative skills and influencing the station #39;s sound. Working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all pieces are produced as per specs, deadlines are met, and pieces are on-air. Maintaining quality control by ensuring all spots are produced to the correct length and compliments the station format and the client’s business, product or service. Actively participating in client and internal meetings across various departments, including Creative, Promotions, Sales, and Programming. Staying in-tune with radio station branding objectives through listening and interacting with announcers. Maintaining a customer-centric approach, aiming to offer the best creative solutions in the market. Ensuring proper care of all equipment and department resources. Organizing and managing schedule and priorities efficiently. Producing online host efforts, such as podcasts, as needed. Uploading supplied creative and specialty programming as required. Performing other duties as necessary.Skills and experience you will bring:Post-secondary education in broadcast radio or a related field preferred. Minimum 1-2 years of radio production experience, ideally as an Audio Producer or similar role, demonstrating the ability to produce station imaging, promotions, and commercials. Exceptional production skills with a creative flair for bringing words to life through sound. Proficiency with Avid Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, or related programs. Strong client management skills with a customer-centric and collaborative approach. Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision while ensuring high quality content is delivered on time. Comfortable working in solitude and collaboratively in cross-functional teams. Excellent organization, time management, and prioritization skills. A creative thinker comfortable sharing unconventional ideas or solutions. Excellent communications skills; speaking clearly with expression and confidence both on and off the air. Knowledge of iMediaTouch production and on-air software is an asset. A positive, friendly demeanor and a customer-service approach to navigate challenging situations with empathy and sincerity. Reliability and punctuality. A passion for the music we play or a willingness to embrace the formats. Personable, excellent interpersonal skills.
