Job Description

Labelink Products Inc. is a manufacturing company of packaging products essential to the food and pharmaceutical chain.Without these packaged goods, essential products would not be available to the community.We are currently seeking a Shipper to assist the production department to prepare components for jobs to be produced on the press and to assist press operators with setting up the press and removing components after the job is finished.RESPONSIBILITIES (are but not limited to):

  • Obtain job tickets and/or release tickets for completed orders , prioritize shipping schedule to facilitate on-time deliveries.
  • Prepare shipments by creating packing slips, ensuring duly completion of all required information and properly wrapping skids according to customer specifications.
  • Co-ordinate pick-up of shipments with an efficient transportation company ensuringall required paperwork is attached to the shipment.
  • Co-ordinate finished goods that are to be entered into inventory or direct shipment by verifying quantities on the job ticket against actual physical quantities and creating a packing slip. Communicate discrepancies such as shortages, counts and non-compliance with the appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare customs paperwork for orders shipped outside Canada and arrange for specific transportation.
  • Tracks and records inventory levels by enteringSKU’s and quantities into Label Traaxand releases product from finished goods according to the oldest inventory available.
  • Conducts regular inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Close all open tickets for invoicing.
  • Participate in quality compliance investigation and requirement.
  • Operate forklift,pump truck , reach truck and walkie.
  • Attend daily production meetings to obtain current production information and to discuss and resolve issues that could delay on-time delivery to the customer.
  • Act as back-up in Receiving.
  • Performs any other production related work assignment as requested by production management.
RequirementsREQUIREMENTS
  • More than three years’ experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to read, understand, interpret and follow written an oral instructions.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, reach and bend to carry, distribute and store products.
  • Must possess good organizational, interpersonal, clerical, planning and communication skills and capable of multi-tasking.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Updated forklift and Reachlicense.
  • Fluent with computer systems with working knowledge of ERP’s
  • Flexible and wiling to do other duties in production as required
  • Able to comply with all Company and standard operating procedures.
