This position reports to the Director of Finance. As a corporate finance group, we provide accounting guidance and support to the divisional business units as well as the consolidated group. This position requires three to five years of experience in accounting or finance, and public accounting experience is highly valued. Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, and an accreditation such a chartered professional accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.What you Will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • At least 3 years’ experience in accounting
  • CPA preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Superior Excel skills
  • Highly skilled in math, accounting, and financial processes
  • Capable of interpreting and analyzing large volumes of financial data, and synthesizing information into concise and clear reports
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Skilled in time management, ability to prioritize tasks and consistently meet deadlines
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and applicable regulations
  • Some periodic travel requirements
  • Asset: Knowledge of Hyperion Enterprise, Microsoft 365 Business Central, PowerBI
What You Will Do:
  • Prepare and consolidate financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and year end basis.
  • Examine and analyze the divisions’ accounting records, documents, and systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards, policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Coordinate, assist with, and evaluate budgets and forecasts in the consolidated accounting system.
  • Manage, prepare, and assist with year end or other audits.
  • Research accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and make recommendations to improve accounting and management practices for the group.
  • Assist with special projects such as system implementations, major capital expenditures, mergers, and acquisitions.
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses as needed.
