Job Description

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Make sure that all merchandise is processed in a timely manner and by procedures.
  • Process and prepare paperwork for shipping of products including bills of lading, shipping invoices, and freight costs.
  • Perform a detailed check-in by procedure and return paperwork to be entered into the store system.
  • Understand how to enter receiving information into the store system.
  • Monitor the merchandise flow and markdowns.
  • Answer incoming calls from stores, vendors, merchants and import group regarding purchase order status and follow up for stores on shipped product.
  • Ensure that all safety procedures are followed
  • Other duties including operating a fork lift, loading trailers and assembling orders.
  • Safety expectations for this role are outlined under The Home Depot Canada Environmental Health & Safety Management system element under "Worker".
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must fulfill minimum time-in-position and performance management code requirements of V2 (or P3= in the previous system).
  • Must be able to use a computerized tracking system.
  • Home Depot Fork Lift License required.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to work effectively with people at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Self-starter, efficient, organized and able to product high quality work under pressure and in a timely fashion.
  • Strong work ethic, sense of responsibility, attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and with little supervision
