Job Description

The Action Group is currently seeking part-time (casual-Sat/Sun) Complex Needs Support Specialists who will be required to support individuals with complex behavioral needs within a secure community residential setting. Our Enhanced Housing Program facility in Ponoka provides specialized housing to eight individuals with complex service needs who have a range of cognitive, behavioral, emotional, physical and mental health support requirements.Complex Needs Support Specialists endeavor to facilitate community engagement while working directly with each individual and, in consultation with the service team, help identify potential risks, initiate action to manage risks through consistent implementation of each Behavioral Support Plan (BSP) using a collaborative approach to monitor the effectiveness of individualized strategies and client well-being.Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to establish clear boundaries and maintain a structured routine
  • Excellent time management, highly organized, flexible
  • Demonstrated ability to work well within a team environment
Requirements:
  • Post-Secondary degree in Human Services or relevant Post-Secondary Diploma combined with specialized training or enhanced knowledge related to mental health and dual diagnoses
  • Two to five years of experience supporting individuals with complex behavioral challenges
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
  • Clean criminal record check
Opportunities:
  • Part-time Casual positions- Shifts are Saturday/Sunday 8am-4pm, 4pm-12am and 12am-8am overnight awake
  • Full-Time - Shifts are 8am-4pm, 4pm-12am and 12am-8am overnight awake
  • $27.00 per hour starting wage + evening and weekend shift enhancement
