Your Opportunity:As an educator in a regionalized department you will be responsible for providing education to Addictions & Mental Health staff within Alberta Health Services, Central Zone. Your responsibilities will be to develop, coordinate, facilitate, deliver and evaluate education. You will partner with clinical educators and clinical experts from other portfolios to develop and facilitate education that spans across portfolios. As an AMH Instructor you will utilize your clinical expertise, facilitation skills and demonstrated skills in integration of best practices into service delivery while supporting departmental goals. You may also participate in the development of clinical policies, guidelines, protocols, procedures and processes as well as participate in quality improvement activities.Description:As an Instructor, you will be an expert practitioner and key educator in support of both nursing staff and the multi-disciplinary clinical team. You will take a leadership role in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of education for nursing staff including orientation, compulsory and continuing education, and clinical development. You will collaborate with management and internal partners to promote standards of clinical, educational and evidence informed practice. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
