In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health), patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.Reporting to the Manager or designate, the Coordinator, Strategic Priorities (the Coordinator) is responsible for supporting the planning and implementation of key strategic priorities within Medical and Academic Affairs through the execution of specific duties such as the monitoring and management of deliverables, workflow and business analysis, and coordinating small and large work teams of internal staff and external consultants. The Coordinator will prepare detailed documents for review by internal and external stakeholders and support the development of plans to meet strategic objectives.QUALIFICATIONS:Education, Training And ExperienceA level of education, training and experience equivalent to a degree in Health Information Sciences, Commerce, Business Administration, or Computer Science and five years of recent experience in priority planning and implementation, system analysis, and the use of a formal systems delivery methodology.Skills And Abilities
