The incumbent is a non-partisan employee of the Legislative Assembly, not a government employee.Position SummaryThe Deputy Clerk reports directly to the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly, and assumes the responsibilities and duties of the Clerk in their absence. The incumbent provides accurate non-partisan information and advice on parliamentary rules, practices, precedents and law to the Clerk, the Speaker and all Members of the Legislative Assembly.
