Description:One of our long-term clients in the Winnipeg area has an immediate contract need to support the design of their products. They are looking for a electrical designer that has some experience with controls/automation, including PLC Programming and troubleshooting. This client is in the Automotive/manufacturing industry and the design engineer will be accountable for completion of engineering design tasks and projects from concept to implementation in production. This person will be working closely with the Engineering Lead Specialist that will provide direct support on the production line to resolve electrical and programming issues discovered during electrical checkout of online products. This will be a high pressure situation in which products are coming to the end of the production line so if there is a fault or error they will need to be able to react under pressure and resolve the issue.This positions is a great opportunity for a junior-intermediate electrical designer who is looking to get exposure in the automotive/manufacturing space. This role would initially start off on a 12-month contract basis with the opportunity to not only extend at the end of the term, but also a high chance of conversion directly into a staff position. Candidates can either come in as an independent contractor, with their own incorporation, or as aquot;employee, quot; and receive benefits/ vacation, etc.MUST HAVES:3+ years of electrical system troubleshooting preferably for automotive applications3+ years of experience with high voltage electrical systems (vehicle electrical systems preferably)Work experience with said systems including harness, electrical components, programming the vehicle (harness side,) working with lighting, reading and creating schematics, open circuit, basic trouble shooting, engine/transmission, and the electrical wiring of the vehicle itself.3+ years troubleshooting route causes aspects.Ideally, some experience working with wiring harnesses and trace of some of the PLC programming that may be returning errors to the vehicle.Preferably some experience working with Siemens/Allen Bradley platformsSkills:Electrical, Electrical design, plc programming, harnesses, schematic, Electrical engineering, autocad, electrical draftingAdditional Skillsamp; Qualifications:Experience working with Laptop, Logger, Nexiq/DLAExperience Level:Intermediate LevelÀ propos d #39;Actalent:Actalent relie la passion à la mission.
