IT Services manages the operations of the Manitoba government #39;s technology infrastructure including platforms, hardware and systems. Qualifications:Essential:
  • Post-Secondary degree or diploma in an Information Technology related field or a combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience installing and supporting hardware and software infrastructure in a corporate data centre environment.
  • Experience working with various technologies such as: VMware ESXi and Vcenter, Windows Operating System, Red Hat Linux Operating System, Internet Information Services (IIS) and/or Cisco network and firewall.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver information in a clear and professional manner.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal staff, clients and external agencies.
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical or problem solving skills.
Duties:Reporting to the IT Service Manager in the Digital and Technology Solutions branch, the Infrastructure Analyst is accountable for implementing, monitoring, maintaining and optimizing the infrastructure (platforms, hardware, operating systems, servers, data centre networking, cloud management) to ensure service continuity through capacity management and availability management. The incumbent assists in the implementation of new products and services and supports the infrastructure.Due to the nature of this position the incumbent will be required to work on site.To be considered for this competition you must submit an application form.
