Job Description

We are seeking a Instructional Designer to join our team in Toronto or Winnipeg.As a key member of the Client Experience organization, the instructional designer will be responsible for designing, developing and delivering engaging training programs to various audiences.The Instructional Designer will:

  • Conduct skills gap analyses. Work with key stakeholders to understand learning needs and create relevant learning content.
  • Design and develop visually engaging training content using innovative and new techniques. (e.g. learning journals, e-learning modules, participant manuals)
  • Design strategies and make effective use of various instructional tools and quality instructional design solutions to achieve the desired business impact.
  • Gather feedback from trainees and trainers after each session.
  • Assess the impact of training on employee performance.
  • Work with teams to map long-term training and development plans for internal teams.
  • Evaluate the outcomes and measure effectiveness of training sessions and maintain records of trainees #39; progress and achievements.
To be successful as a Instructional Designer with People Corporation, you will need:
  • 5-10 years #39; experience working in learning and development including instructional design experience and evidenced ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
  • Post-Secondary in instructional design, curriculum development or related field is considered an asset.
  • Proficient in Storyline 360, Microsoft Office Suite - PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams
  • Proficient in use of collaborative, web conferencing and video conferencing tools.
  • A passion for employee development, motivation and coaching, with the ability to create and sustain strong working partnerships and trusted relationships with all stakeholders across the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess organizational development/learning needs and develop, implement and evaluate programs, ideally geared towards technical teams.
  • Experience using a variety of mediums, and tools to create modern content.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills to present training programs.
  • Comfort in talking in front of a group as well as an individual.
