Job Description

JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Machine Operator III (Trailer Loader) to join our growing team.DUTIES:

  • Work closely and communicate with all team members
  • Able to read and follow production paperwork
  • Follow grading instructions based on different product lay-up requirements
  • Transfer product using conveyors, carts, dolly #39;s, pallet jacks
  • Lift, load, offload, and transfer door skins, sub assembly materials, door slabs throughout department in all work cells
  • Follow gluing instruction standards accurately for different product layup configurations
  • Conduct quality glue test and record data
  • Able to pick and prepare components for upcoming production requirements
  • Use basic hand tools
  • Set up and use the adjustable and fixed presses
  • Inspect pressed doors during cycle time for good quality and performance
  • Document and record quality and scrap information at all work cells
  • Conduct product repairs as required
  • Record hour x hour data at all work cells
  • Able to work efficiently and follow production standards to meet production targets
  • Conduct basic equipment inspection as required
  • Support escalation of quality and production issues to rest of team and lead or supervisor for quick resolution
  • Work in a fast-paced environment
  • Job rotation participation
  • Wear all necessary safety equipment and follow safety rules
  • Must stay organized and maintain a clean workspace
  • Comply with JELD-WEN EH amp;S requirements and legal requirements including policies, standards, rules, and programs
  • Any other duties as assigned by your lead hand or manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be physically capable (lifting up to 50lbs)
  • Comply with all JELD-WEN EH amp;S requirements, PPE requirements, legal requirements including policies, standards, rules, and programs and follow the JELD-WEN values
  • Know how to use tape measure (Englishamp; Metric)
  • Ability to use machinery, read and comprehend work orders.
  • Must be a team player
  • Be quality oriented
  • Must have a positive attitude
  • Must be willing and able to learn products and Quality Control guidelines
  • Must have good verbal communication skills
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the assigned Department.
