Job Description

Further information is available atwww.mcicoach.com.POSITION SUMMARYBeing a Tooling and Fixture Associate requires a creative individual to construct, maintain and repair various jigs, fixtures and molds. The holder takes pride and is motivated by solving problems to achieve quality results.WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Construct, maintain and repair various jigs, fixtures and molds using general machining and fabrication methods.
  • Metal cutting and welding, using Carbon Arc, Torch, MIG, TIG and Stick techniques.
  • Blueprint reading, math and drafting.
  • Running mill and lathe machines as well as various types of grinding equipment.
  • Use of standard measurement tools.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • 2+ years experience creating and building tools, fixtures and containers.
  • Experience working with math skills related to tools, shop measurements and layout.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Proficiency with measuring tools and general machine / fabrication shop experience.
  • Basic knowledge of different types of tooling/manufacturing building materials.
  • Ability to work safely within plant safety guidelines in a fast paced environment.
  • Toolamp; Die Journeyman #39;s ticket or Welding / Machining ticket an asset.
  • CNC Lathe experience an asset.
