You will be coordinating production operations and maintaining effective quality procedures and safety regulations for the facility.How You Will Impact WestRock:

  • Enforce plant safety regulations and encourage employees to become safety-conscious
  • Lead and coach employees to meet the safety, quality, production, and all other key performance indicators of a fast-paced work team.
  • Manage manufacturing employees to include performance reviews and disciplinary actions
  • Make recommendations to improve safety, environmental and health of the entire facility
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the shift with constant emphasis on safety, quality, delivery and cost
  • Monitor production activities to eliminate waste and ensure adherence to production and shipping schedule
  • Work with other team members to control and improve efficiencies, minimize labor overtime, downtime and repair expenses
  • Control load factors and workflow to ensure maximum use of available capacity and effective use of labor, tools and equipment
  • Enforce plant safety regulations and encourage employees to become safety conscious.
  • Create a safe and actively engaged environment that unlocks the potential of all our employees.
  • Build relationships with internal departments to produce a superior product, resulting in happy customers.
What you Need to Succeed:
  • Experience in a Corrugated Manufacturing facility preferred
  • Three plus years of supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
  • Strong focus and shared passion towards Safety and Quality
  • Six Sigma / Lean knowledge is a plus
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Positive, energetic, and willing to learn
  • Able to work on weekly rotating shifts Monday to Friday (7:00 am to 3:00 pm; 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm and 11:00 pm to 7:00 am) and occasional Saturdays
  • Able to travel to the US for training purposes as required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proven leadership skills and an ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels
  • Ability to embrace continuous improvement
  • Ability to make independent, effective decisions
