When dangerous goods incidents occur, we oversee emergency response to ensure it is done with the safest tactics and techniques.Regional Remedial Measures Specialists receive continuous technical training and work with responders in the industry. Duties include attending accident scenes, reviewing Emergency Response Assistance Plans (ERAP), assessing response capabilities of responders, participating in public outreach events, and attending and creating exercises and collaborating in TDG research projects. EDUCATION:Graduation with a degree from a recognized university with specialization in chemistry, chemical engineering, environmental engineering, biochemistry, biology, or an applied science with a specialization in a field relevant to the position.Degree equivalencyEXPERIENCE:Experience in analyzing and interpreting data to provide recommendations to decision-makers regarding regulated issues.Significant* experience in interpreting and applying acts, regulations, or standards.
