  • Must possess and maintain a valid Manitoba Class 5 F Driver #39;s License
  • Must be able to travel frequently to work sites within the Province by ground and/or air transportation, including overnight stays
Qualifications:Essentials:
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or the successful completion of the Department #39;s Level 3 training program. An equivalent education and experience in a related area may be considered.
  • Extensive experience in roadway planning, highway planning, land use planning and highway engineering design.
  • Knowledge of access management principles.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Effective verbal communication skills to prepare and deliver technical presentations to various audiences.
  • Excellent written communication skills to provide analysis, reports, and recommendations.
  • Strong political acumen for navigating sensitive and confidential issues with tact and diplomacy.
  • Strong leadership skills to supervise staff and projects, including assigning and overseeing work, managing performance, and motivating direct reports.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage continuously changing demands and competing priorities.
Desired:
  • Experience working with, and/or thorough knowledge of The Highways and Transportation Act, the Planning Act and Provincial Land Use Policies relative to access management policies and practices.
  • Experience in the permitting processes.
Duties:The Senior Access Management Analyst is responsible for the technical evaluation of Limited Access Highway permit applications under the Transportation Infrastructure Act. The Senior Access Management Analyst protects provincial highway interests by recommending appropriate access management measures and techniques that will maintain or improve the level of service and safety on provincial highways. This position also provides advice and guidance to departmental staff and the public with respect to access and roadside development issues, and facilitates the Department #39;s developer pay program by corresponding with Developers and Engineering Service Providers and generating the required documentation to allow developers to undertake intersection improvements related to their developments.Apply to:Advertisement # 41420Talent AcquisitionHuman Resource Services
