That #39;s why we #39;ve worked hard to ensure that everyone is a vital part of the Morrison Hershfield team.We are looking for an intermediate level Sustainability Analyst to join our Sustainability team within the Building Specialty Services group. In this role, you will manage projects, work directly with clients, and work with a team of other junior and senior sustainability analysists related to the pursuit of sustainable buildings. Sustainable building work may include LEED BD+C, LEED EB: O+M, LEED ID+C, Zero Carbon Building (ZCB) certifications, WELL, FitWell, EnergyStar Portfolio Manager, BOMA BeST, etc.. Experience with Life Cycle Assessment and Embodied Carbon is considered a strong asset. You will be involved in sustainable orquot;green quot; building initiatives for existing and new building projects and will work with internal and external building design specialties.Responsibilities:

  • Lead a project team to develop a project-appropriate sustainability strategy and energy conservation measures.
  • Lead the approach to achieve various Green Building certifications (LEED, WELL, FitWell, BOMA BEST, Green Globes, ZCB).
  • Evaluating and tracking sustainability measures implemented on projects.
  • Communicate sustainability requirements and obligations to client staff, architects, engineers, contractors, industry representatives and construction trades.
  • Peer review internally and externally developed submittals for submission to thequot;green quot; building certification body (e.g., CaGBC, BOMA, etc.)
  • Attend project design/construction meetings and document discussions.
  • Project management of internal sustainability projects.
  • Accountable for the technical quality and accuracy of work performed.
  • Works without close supervision, with high expectations for accuracy, adequacy and conformance with guidelines and procedures
  • Participate in continuing education.
Qualifications:
  • Degree and/or Diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years #39; direct experience in work relating to green building rating systems.
  • An understanding of the role of different building systems and broad understanding of sustainability issues.
  • LEED Accredited Professional in one or more rating systems is required.
  • Ability to obtain a Reliability Clearance with Public Service and Procurement Canada (PSPC).
  • WELL AP is a strong asset.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 14064-1/2/3 for GHG Inventory Quantificationamp; Verification is a strong asset.
  • Understanding the requirements of ISO 14091 Adaptation to Climate Change - Guidelines on Vulnerability, Impacts and Risk Assessment.
  • Training or experience in Life Cycle Assessment Software (Athena, OneClick, SemaPro) is a strong asset.
