Find your future with us.Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. is currently seeking a Tool Design Technologist Intern, working out of the Winnipeg, MB location. This internship is a 4-month opportunity working on day shift.We are looking for current post-secondary technologist students who are interested in working side-by-side with experienced Engineering professionals. Our student Interns are given a unique experience as they learn the ropes and attain newfound competencies. Interns are exposed to on-the-job challenges as they work on hands-on tasks, undergo training, and have the opportunity to work on special projects.   • Supports the investigation of basic equipment and tooling concepts and specifications to satisfy aerospace product design and build requirements.
  • Participates in design reviews, collects design requirements, creates and revises drawings and models, researches the application of robotics, automation and new technology to support the build plan.
  • Checks designs for compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.
  • Supports the development and documentation of equipment and tooling inspection and usage instructions, preventative maintenance plans, and user training.
  • Provides technical support for engineering changes and discrepancies by investigating problems and analyzing data to identify solutions.
  • Maintains hardware and software configuration.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Winnipeg, MB.Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Must be a currently enrolled student attending an accredited college
  • Must be at least in 2nd year of Engineering Technology college diploma program with studies related to: Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering Technology.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills including PowerPoint and Excel
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada
  • Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
  • Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Prefer previous internship experience.
  • Experience in the use of CATIA or equivalent 3D Modelling software
  • Experience and knowledge of aerospace structures and/or composite materials would be beneficial.
  • Hands-on experience with tools would be considered an asset.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Access would be considered an asset.
  • Facilitative, communication, problem-solving, organizational and team-building
  • Graduates are ineligible unless continuing in post graduate studies.
