Position Title: Sanitation LabourerPosition Type: Regular - Full-TimePosition Location: Portage La PrairieRequisition ID: 16288Requirements:Successful completion of a 120-day familiarization.Successful completion of Level 1 Forklift Course during familiarization period.Ability to work on a rotating shift basis.Enroll in WHMIS Training Program.Physically capable of performing required duties including:Lifting, pulling, shoveling, pushing, climbing and piling of all types of materials as required.Work in extreme temperatures, high humidity and dusty conditions.Able to work while using chemical splash gogglesFunction in a noisy environment and wear hearing protection.Work with all required safety equipment.Satisfactory past job performanceComplete all required Sanitation TrainingLock Out Tag out TrainingConfined space trainingSanitation TrainingRespirator TrainingBlood Bourne PathogensChemical Handling and Spill Clean UpForklift TrainingScissor Lift TrainingApplicable JHA’sKnowledge of foaming unitsDuties:Work under the direction of and report to the Production Supervisor.Operation of high pressure washersOperation of ForkliftHave a reasonable understanding of all areas of the plant and the most effective procedure for sanitizing the areaFamiliar with clean up chemicals, their hazards and the safe use of including the proper wearing of PPE.Understand the WHMIS programBe able to communicate and record work completed to supervisor.Other duties as assigned by Supervision.McCain Foods is an equal opportunity employer.
