CURRENT LOCATION: Prince Albertamp; Surrounding Area (with the understanding that you are employed by the Saskatchewan Rivers Public School Division) POSITION: Temporary Full-Time STARTING DATE: As mutually agreed upon ENDING DATE: June 26, 2024 POSTING DATE: October 4, 2023 CLOSING DATE: October 10, 2023, or until a suitable candidate can be found HOURS OF WORK: 6.50 hours per day / 32.50 hours per week Certified Rate Uncertified Rate SALARY: Year 1 - $32.93 per hour Year 1 - $30.90 per hour Year 2 - $34.07 per hour Year 2 - $32.04 per hour Year 3 - $35.51 per hour Year 3 - $33.49 per hourREQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION: Successful completion of Grade 12.Preference will be given to individuals with experience in providing social referencing and regulation supports to children. Experience in implementation of all levels of social referencing and regulation programming with students of varying ages. Completion of professional development in the area of social referencing and regulation would be an asset. Post-secondary training related to child development would be an asset. Knowledge of various forms or non-verbal communication such as Alternative and Augmentative Communications (AAC),Pragmatic Organization Dynamic Display (PODD), Sign Language, or others.Ability to form positive attachment with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) by engaging in intrinsically motivatingactivities and using trauma-informed practices.Knowledge of student behaviour management and co-regulation strategies. Ability to supervise learning and school-related activities in a variety of settings and locations. Ability to collect appropriate resources and to implement, program, and assess student progress within prescribed programs. Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions. Knowledge of and ability to operate within Board policies and procedures. Demonstrate a high regard for all children and youth that honours diversity. Ability to maintain a positive, encouraging, supportive approach when interacting with all students, consistent with the beliefthat we can help all children learn and become independent.Possess strong organizational skills and be able to prioritize multiple demands. Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation and provide recommendations to the supervisor. Ability to work collaboratively in a positive manner as part of a team. Working knowledge of current technology and software associated with the duties and responsibilities of this position. Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision demonstrating sound judgement and decision making skills toensure quality of work meets expected standards.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all staff, students, and the public demonstrating tact anddiplomacy.Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, such as lifting and carrying materials to/from locations. Ability to conduct oneself in a manner appropriate to an educational institution that provides services to children includingdemonstrating strict attention to confidentiality of school operations and student information.Valid driver’s license.
