Career OpportunityWe’re looking for an Airport Administrative Specialist (AAS3) to join our team for a term position! We are also happy to provide reasonable accommodations throughout the selection process and while working at PGAA.About The RoleWorking as part of the airport administrative team, the Airport Administrative Specialist (AAS3) will provide direct administrative support to the Safety and Regulatory Compliance department. Airport Administration Specialists administer various office systems and processes related to customer service, operations, quality assurance, audits, asset management, work management and general office duties to ensure the Prince George Airport operates in a safe, secure, effective, efficient, and environmentally friendly manner.Key Responsibilities

  • Emphasize and demonstrate the importance of safe operating procedures and accident prevention at all times, always leading by example.
  • Support delivery and administration of the PGAA Safety Management System.
  • Support delivery and administration of the PGAA Security System.
  • Support development, implementation, and monitoring of Environmental requirements and initiatives.
  • Tracking, recording, and reporting on organizational safety metrics, data analytics and health and safety management technology tools.
  • Update and maintain resources such as networks, IFID’s, and telephone systems.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate training programs.
  • Ensure and maintain compliance with legislation, regulations, and PGAA policies.
  • Maintain accurate records and generate reports as required.
  • Provide timely service delivery of Pass Office requirements, in collaboration with other administrative team members.
  • Active member of Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee, responsible for leading initiatives and meeting legislative requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety as a priority.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Airport Operations, Occupational Health & Safety, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Working knowledge of legislation, regulations, and best practices with respect to safety management systems, occupational health and safety, and security.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and ability to learn custom software as required.
  • Skilled in record management and experience with document management practices.
  • Strong critical thinking, decision making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Transport Canada security clearance (TSC).
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian Aviation and ICAO Regulations an asset.
  • Experience with auditing, quality assurance programs and practices an asset.
  • Knowledge of environmental best practices and regulations an asset.
Hours of WorkBased on 35-hours per week Monday through Friday, during general daytime business hours.What We Offer
