Job Description

Canadas Leading Provider of Corporate Security is seeking full-time security professionals for positions in the Oil and Gas sector on the North Coast of BC.At Securiguard, we believe that every person deserves a safe environment to live, visit and work. With the ability to service clients across Canada including major centers, small towns, and remote locations by air, land, or sea their team of 3000+ strong security and safety professionals, make people feel safe by offering a comprehensive selection of safety and security services and solutions.If you are looking for a stimulating and rewarding entry level position with great potential for career advancement in corporate security and asset protection, this role is for you.Hours of work: 12-hour shifts, 2 weeks in/out scheduleLocations: Lejac, Houston, Burns Lake, Kitimat, Terrace, Prince George, Fraser Lake, Fort Fraser, New Hazelton, Hazelton, Smithers, and Over Arching North CoastIn this position you will:

  • Provide excellent customer service to both the client and site visitors
  • Provide emergency response:
    • Respond to incident/emergency situations and follow required protocols
    • Coordinate with the police or emergency personnel when required
  • Provide visual security presence:
    • Detect and deter unauthorized persons
  • Access control at terminals and project sites
  • Patrol designated areas
  • Conduct radio check ins
  • Identify and report safety hazards
  • Report security breaches
  • Submit a daily written report
  • Maintain consistent records using company issued notebook
  • Adhere to Securiguards core Values, Vision, Mission statement
  • Perform regularly scheduled site duties as required by clients Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Report Frequent shift activities
The Ideal Candidate will have:
  • A valid BC Security License
  • A Class 5 BC Drivers License with a clean driving abstract
  • A personal vehicle to travel to and from the job site
  • Will be able to pass the drug and alcohol test
  • Excellent English communication skills to write descriptive and factual daily reports
Additional Considerations:Completion of any of the following certifications:
  • OFA 1 (Occupational First Aid)
  • WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)
  • CSTS (Construction Safety Training System
  • PCST (Pipeline Construction Training)
