We offer competitive compensation packages with comprehensive benefits for full-time employees.RoleAs a Silviculture Forester Project Leader, reporting to the Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for applying your technical skills and professional expertise when leading silviculture projects, including silviculture program management, planting implementation, and silviculture survey programs.Requirements

  • Leadership in safety
  • 5 years of silviculture experience including planting, planting implementation, and silviculture surveys
  • Registered, or eligible to be registered with the ABCFP
  • Silviculture surveyor accreditation
  • Working knowledge of silviculture software and applications (i.e. RESULTS, Plant Wizard, SNAP!)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
In addition, candidates should demonstrate the following qualities
  • A passion for both forestry and working outdoors
  • Motivated, with a strong work ethic
  • Experience working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Strong organization and communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Good problem solving and decision making skills
  • Effective in working in a team environment
