November 06, 2021Employee Type:Temporary (Fixed Term)-Full timeUnion/Non:This is a unionized positionBargaining Unit: Unifor 4960Rate Classification / Pay Range: As per Collective AgreementProgression: Warehouse TechnicianType: Fix TermRelocation Applies: As per policy and Unifor 4960 AgreementTravel %: Up to 25%Safety Sensitive: YesHours: 40Are you an experienced Warehousing professional looking for a new challenge Reporting to the CGTM Warehousing Supervisor, the Warehouse Technician provides comprehensive field materials management and logistics services to both operations and projects across Enbridge Gas Transmission Midstream Canada Westcoast Pipeline. This position is based in the Prince George warehouse. The scope of material involved in this position is primarily compressor station commissioning parts and subsequent critical operating spares.What you will doPer Warehouse Technician Progression or Red Seal Parts & Warehousing Journey Person, the Warehouse Technician’s roles, accountabilities, and behaviors include, but are not limited to:

  • Shipping & receiving
  • Goods issuance and material transfer
  • Relevant computer processes
  • Proficiency within relevant computer systems
  • Efficiently sources and procures materials as required or directed
  • Participation in physical inventory counts per standard governance
  • Participation in capital project materials coordination
  • Provides support to other functional areas (customers) via materials-related actions as directed by supervisor
  • Highly responsive to changing requirements and priorities as it relates to MML tasks, especially relating to customer needs
  • Safely operates materials handling equipment and tools, including multi direction forklift for narrow aisle
Who you areYou have the following qualifications and skills:Required:
  • High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma.
  • 5 -10 years’ work experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Preference given to relevant certification or demonstrated equivalent experience in MML or industrial warehousing
Preferred:
  • High standards of quality control and document management
  • High standards of time management and work efficiency; holds suppliers, service providers and contractors accountable for the same
  • High standards of work and business ethics
  • Working knowledge of applicable materials standards for regulated gas pipelines
  • Working knowledge and vocabulary pertaining to gas pipeline materials and components
  • Knowledge of compressor station related materials and components, especially gas generator turbines and auxiliary facilities
  • Works safely and efficiently alone and self-directed as well as within a team
  • Communicate skillfully and manage many tasks effectively and with appropriate priority levels f or assigned construction projects.
  • Assure that all material received is stored in a safe and non-damaging manner and shelter is provided where necessary.
  • Provide accurate data to MDM team for building new item masters and vendor information records in warehouse catalogue.
