Job Description

Valo is an experienced Telecommunications company providing professional telecommunications services throughout western Canada.Our Telecommunications team is looking for competent, dedicated Drillers and Locators, to support the delivery of quality fiber to the home services to our new customers in Haida Gwaii, BC.This is a 21 days on / 7 days off rotation working 10 hour daysWHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Telecom and fiber optic installation, through operation of Ditch Witch or Vermeer drilling machines
  • Use of tools including locator equipment for drilling and cable placement
  • Interpretation of plans, diagrams, and locates
  • Communicate with team members on preparation and project coordination
ABOUT YOU:
  • Some Directional Drilling and /or locator experience in telecom construction or similar
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions, as project runs throughout Winter 2021 / 2022
  • Willing to work long hours and travel. Shift schedule is 10 hour days, 21 days on, 7 days off
  • A safety-conscious, positive attitude, and good work ethic
  • Willing to assist the team in any capacity
