Fountain Tire Provost, an established automotive repair shop, is looking for responsible, safe and dedicated associates to join our team as a Journeyman Automotive Service Technician.Position: Full time, permanentWage: $32-$38/hour (wage based on experience)Benefits: Full Health, Dental, Vision and, RRSP MatchingWorkplace Language: EnglishWhat is in it for you- We will develop your skills and certifications with our excellent training programs and the opportunity for advancement.- Regular shifts with the opportunity for overtime work.Primary Responsibilities:- Obtaining a clear understanding of the customers concerns from reviewing the work order and discussing any potential problems with the shop supervisor.- Identify performance problems while using the diagnostic equipment and advising the customers and customer-facing associates on the work performed, general vehicle condition, and future suggested maintenance schedules and repair requirements.- Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, fluid level checks, tire rotations, lubrications, and tune ups.- Complete and maintain a variety of safety courses including Whimis, TIA, Rim Safety course, and Customer Experience Standards.- Ensure a safe workplace by adhering to allquot;work safe quot; protocols to ensure the safety of yourself and your coworkers.- Operate company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner.- Maintain mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis.- Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts.- Pride in the work you #39;ve done keeping your customers safe and, on the road, site or field!Working conditions:- A team environment where hard work, concise communication and clear heads are rewarded.- Consistent lifting of weights of approximately 25KG without assistance, is required.- This work can be unpredictable, physical, wet, cold, windy etc. and we need someone who will be up for the challenge.- This role requires nearly constant standing, crouching, or kneeling.Qualifications:- Completion of a registered 4 year automotive service technician apprenticeship program.- Interprovincial Red Seal Certification would be considered an asset.- Must possess a valid driver #39;s license permitting the independent operation of a passenger vehicle.- Must be able to provide a satisfactory passenger or commercial Driver #39;s Abstract from licensing province as requested by management.Interested and qualified Apply on-line or in-store today!Contact: Dave Grant at Dave.Grant@FountainTire.comPosted Wage: $32 - $38 / hrStreet: 5604 - 53 StreetExternal Company URL: http://www.fountaintire.com
