Job DescriptionHours of Work:Monthly continental rotation (days/nights), 4 on/4 off schedule, 12 hr shift.5:50am/pm - 6:05am/pmMajor Responsibilities:Functional responsibility for all for forklift drivers on shiftAble to support /train on Picking, Receiving, and Boot camp ChecklistsResolve workload issues during shift; escalate problems to the Warehouse Resource and Customer Support as they occur.Seek immediate resolutions to issues to ensure customer satisfactionLeads shift SHO & forklift de-brief meeting if requiredEnsures safe performance of assigned tasks as well as process compliance of material handlersAssists the Resource in ensuring effective communication to operators of company policies/prioritiesAssists the Planning and Customer Service TeamsEnforce and Monitor compliance adherence, loading patterns, product flow, handle pick tickets, BOL’s, receive returns, and prepare and distribute shipment documentationPrepare loads for destructionTrailer shunting support requiredManage the dock planning & utilization including planning & coordinating line loading activity, assign trailer loading to material handlers, and ensure timely departure to meet customer delivery appointmentsPrepare and send US outbound Border DocumentsControl gate entry/exit while maintaining yard security, and interfacing with driversMonitor the trailer pool (yard check)Operate a forklift when necessaryOther duties as assigned QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary education is preferred.Certified forklift driverPast demonstrated leadership aptitude and a desire to contribute and make a differenceDemonstrated communication skills that show your ability to gain co-operation and understanding from warehousing personnel as well as internal and external customers to the shipping department.Demonstrated ability to support the above verbal communications requirements with effective written communications.Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (can create, retrieve, and input into systems). Proficiency in data entry, SAP, and Globe.Knowledge of dock functions an asset.Shunting experience is an assetKnowledge of Palletizer and Shipping proceduresDemonstrated multitasking skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.This role is on our standard Continental Shift rotation schedule.
