Job Description

Job percentage: 100%Nature of WorkThe principal and customary work of an employee in this class of employment consists in organizing, coordinating and monitoring the work performed by his or her team composed of administrative support staff.This class of employment also includes employees who perform principally and customarily highly specialized work characterized by the complexity, expertise and autonomy required.Characteristic functions

  • Coordinate, distribute and verify the work and gives their advice on the quality, ensure that deadlines are met; ensure staff training.
  • Determine the work schedule in their sector according to the instructions received, remind the persons concerned, in or outside the board, of deadlines.
  • Carry out complex and specialized duties; find, prepare and verify data; prepare documents, statements and reports, including the entry of data that they must interpret, if necessary, and that they locate in or outside the board.
  • Deal with the public or with employees concerning, in particular, the terms and conditions for payment or collection or any other matter within their competence.
  • Make suggestions and recommendations designed to improve the operations for which they are responsible.
  • Use a computer and the various software required to perform their duties related to word processing, database entry, spreadsheets and in-house programs; carry out research on the Internet; uses e-mail. May be required to help, on occasion, colleagues with the common software and programs used.
  • If need be, perform any other related duty.
Schooling and experience
  • Hold a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in a specialty appropriate for the class of employment, a Secondary School Diploma or a diploma or an attestation of studies recognized as equivalent by the competent authority and have six (6) years of pertinent experience.
Other requirements
  • Excellent spoken and written English and French.
  • Sound knowledge in computer software - Word, Excel; PowerPoint would be an asset.
  • Capacity to work and cope with simultaneous demands and works cooperatively with team and other staff members.
  • Capacity to learn and adapt to new situations.
  • Excellent judgment, analytical skills and problem solving ability.
  • The ability to prioritize, organize, plan, carry out and follow-up in an autonomous fashion.
  • Good memorization capacity and very attentive to details.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Discretion and objectivity.
  • Must be available and flexible in regards to the working hours due to the fact that certain selection activities could possibly take place outside of regular office hours.
N.B.: The candidates who wish to be considered for this position will undertake tests to evaluate their knowledge in English and French writing, in Word, and in Excel.
