Learn more at www.adm.com.Position: Electrician – Hourly Union, Full-TimeLocation: Montreal, QuebecObjective:This position requires the electrician to perform various tasks related to the electrical maintenance activities in a manufacturing facility. The successful candidate must have a good electrical and mechanical background as well as PLC experience. This position is under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Detail oriented with good verbal and written skills,Requires lifting, standing, sitting, climbing stairs and ladders, working at heights, bending, kneeling and working with tools,Continual improvement,Responsible for following ALL Safety Rules and Guidelines,Install conduits and wiring,Install a wide variety of electrical devices and control circuits,Repair/rebuild/perform upgrades to electrical equipment,Read ladder logic diagrams and understand PLC principles,Troubleshoot electrical equipment problems to improve uptime,Perform preventative maintenance and complete work orders,Demonstrate excellent mechanical & electrical troubleshooting skillsResponsible for the care and maintenance of all electrical and electronic shop equipment and tools,Perform other assigned tasks as needed.QualificationsIndustrial work experience, preferably with instrumentation responsibilities,In possession of Quebec License C or on the way to obtaining it,DEC in electronics or instrumentation and controls,Demonstrate the necessary skill sets to perform the above listed duties,PLC troubleshooting ability/experience would be an asset,Extensive knowledge of electrical and electronic equipment,Variable Frequency Drives/Instrumentation and Calibration,Good knowledge of computers,Good troubleshooting and problem solving abilities,Good communication/inter-personal skills,Safety driven.This is an hourly unionized position which involves shift work, some weekend work and call outs after hours.
