Job Description

DescriptionRequired immediately, our Local Regina Branch is seeking a Full Time INSTALLER/TEMPLATER (CONTRACTOR) for COUNTERTOPS to join the team!With 16 branches and 5 manufacturing facilities located in the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada, FLOFORM Countertops manufactures, sells and installs over 20,000 premium surface countertops a year. Established in 1961, FLOFORM is proud to be one of the Best Managed Companies in North AmericaPosition SummaryThe Templater/Installer is responsible for creating digital files/templates to be used in creating custom countertops which involves programming CNC router and preparing CAD files both in the shop and on the job sites for fabrication of custom countertops in a range of materials. As well as installing Stone countertops while representing Floform in a professional manner on the job site.Desired Skillsamp; Experience

  • Related secondary education with 2 years related experience
  • Intermediate mathematicalamp; computer skills using Microsoft office products, AutoCAD and the ability to learn other software programs
  • Basic understanding of plumbing an asset
  • Ability to handle challenging situations with diplomacy and respect
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy
  • Be highly motivated, hardworking, reliable, and possess an outgoing and friendly attitude while willing to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Must be able to work overtime as the jobs demand
  • Some overnight travel required
  • Must be able to handle heavy loads, bend, crouch, kneel and lift upwards of 200 lbs. assisted
  • Possess clear driver #39;s license and criminal record check
Duties And ResponsibilitiesTemplating
  • Creates accurate digital drawings of countertops and produces sink files as required
  • Traveling to customers’ homes/business to create templates that will be used in the production of their countertops
  • Advises customer of any modifications required
  • Responding to general customer enquiries while on-site
Installation
  • Correctly install Stone countertops on site, while maintaining a professional demeanor
  • Cleanly remove the existing countertop and plumbing if required
  • Respond to customer inquiries and/or concerns while on the job site
  • Contacts office to resolve any concerns that cannot be addressed on the job site
  • Troubleshoot technical problems related to the installation as they arise
  • Works as closely to the schedule as possible and contacts customer if running behind
