For more than 15 years, customer have trusted us for our innovative problem solving combined with holistic design, engineering, manufacturing, logistic and global support services.Job Title: Business AnalystLocation: Regina SK CANADA (Remote)Business Requirements Gathering:Collaborate with Product Managers and other stakeholders to understand their business needs and objectives. Conduct interviews, workshops, and research to elicit clear and comprehensive business requirements.Agile Story Writing:Create detailed user stories and acceptance criteria based on the gathered requirements. Evaluate completed technical stories and the solutions that they deliver against acceptance criteria to ensure that they meet the expected functional requirements. Assist in the prioritization and management of the product backlog, ensuring that development efforts align with business priorities.Issue Analysis and Resolution:Investigate and analyze data-related issues reported by stakeholders, including data inaccuracies, anomalies, and discrepancies. Work closely with engineering and data teams to identify the root cause and implement appropriate resolutions.Data Analysis and Reporting:Analyze large datasets to derive actionable insights, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making. Develop clear and concise reports and visualizations to present findings to stakeholders.Stakeholder Communication:Maintain open and regular communication with Product Managers, technical teams, and other stakeholders to ensure shared understanding of project objectives and progress. Provide timely updates on project status, issue resolution, and any changes to project scope.Process Improvement:Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve data collection, analysis, and reporting methods. Propose and implement enhancements to optimize business intelligence operations.Collaboration and Cross-Functional Support:Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and other team members to align on project requirements and deliverables. Collaborate with other business analysts and data teams across the organization to share best practices and drive consistent data analysis standards.Skills:Proven experience (3-5 years) as a Business Analyst in the business intelligence or data analytics domain. Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience with writing clear and well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and derive meaningful insights. Proficiency in reporting and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Microstrategy) to present findings effectively. Knowledge of SQL and experience in querying and manipulating data for analysis purposes. Experience using data preparation, data cataloging, and metadata management tools such as Alation, Collibra, Datum, Profisee or Informatica is a plus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively. Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Experience in an extreme value retail company or similar retail domain is a plus.
