Job Description

THE OPPORTUNITY AWAITS YOUReporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Talent Coordinator works closely with the Human Resources Business Consultants by assisting in recruitment/talent management activities along with general Human Resources administration, ensuring consistency of approach, adherence to applicable legislation, collective agreements, and alignment with the client’s business needs. This position provides excellent customer service and effectively communicates with hiring managers and employees, developing and maintaining strong working relationships to support Regina Exhibition Association Limited’s (REAL) performance culture. The Talent Management Coordinator supports corporate People Services initiatives, plays an integral role supporting Talent Acquisition process works and collaboratively with the People Services Team to meet corporate objectives.WHAT YOU WILL DO1. As a member of REAL’s People Services team, the Human Resources Talent Management Coordinator is integral in supporting the recruitment process by:

  • Preparing and posting in-scope job advertisements maintaining company recruitment policies, standards, and practices.
  • Posting to the internal recruitment system, company website, and any other sites as determined in the recruitment strategy.
  • Assisting with screening applications and providing recommended shortlists to the applicable HRBCs.
  • Assisting with the administration of any applicable screening tests and/or assessments.
  • Coordinates various aspects of the interview process, including but not limited to updating the interview guide library, contacting all shortlisted applicants to book an interview, preparing interview materials for the hiring manager and panel members, and participating on the interview panel as needed.
  • Conducting reference and background checks.
  • Assisting with the onboarding of new employees by preparing all materials and supporting employee orientations in consultation with the Human Resources Business Consultants.
  • Preparing all necessary recruitment documentation for in-scope positions such as offer letters, regret letters, and any other correspondence for review and signature. Preparing and delivering messages to unsuccessful candidates for all competitions.
  • Maintains accurate records of in-scope recruitment competitions throughout the recruitment, hiring and onboarding process.
  • Assist with inputting in-scope employee information in to the HRIS system.
  • Distributing employee forms to applicable departments for processing.
  • Providing HR analytics to the Manager and HRBCs, as needed.
  • Ensuring recruitment and hiring process are in compliance with applicable legislation and the collective bargaining agreements.
2.Provides consistent and reliable administrative support to the People Services team.This may include but not be limited to:
  • Prepare confidential documents, including drafting termination letters, promotion/transfer/demotion letters, and any other correspondence.
  • Acts as a central point of contact and triages People Services calls, mail distribution and manages centralized email accounts.
  • Gathers compensation data for the HRBC and/or HR Manager in preparation for the annual compensation process.
  • Supports the Peoples Services Compensationamp; Benefits team where required.
  • Assist with preparing the annual in-scope employee performance review forms for distribution and tracking.
  • Maintain the integrity of personnel files (paper and electronic) on an ongoing basis.
  • Create presentations, as needed.
  • Respond to employee inquiries as required, including but not limited to front line staff uniform requests, and uniform purchase orders.
  • Process and code cheque requests, purchase orders and invoices for approval.
  • Support employee information and/or training sessions.
  • Supports the administration process of the REAL Core’84 Volunteer program.
  • Provide administrative support as needed to all People Services programs and services as needed.
3.Performs other duties as needed and when required.Working hours are Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm. Working hours may vary according to business needs.RequirementsWHAT IT TAKESApply today if you meet the following requirements:
  • A two-year diploma/certificate from an accredited post-secondary education institution in a relevant field of study such as business administration Commerce specializing in Human Resources.
  • A minimum of 3 years of specific Human Resources experience, including specifically Recruitment/Talent Acquisition.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered if actively pursuing the completion of a diploma/certificate specializing in Human Resources.
  • Experience and education with payroll processing and benefit programs is an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with multiple stakeholders, providing excellent customer service and communication in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of advanced functions of computers including Windows based software such as Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience in using HR databases and HRIS systems.
  • Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and functions and how they interconnect.
  • Knowledge of the Saskatchewan Employment Act and other relevant legislation.
  • Knowledge of Recruitment or Talent Acquisition best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in Recruitment or Talent Acquisition.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of administrative processes and protocols.
  • Oral and written communication skills to provide information to colleagues and external candidates in a timely and professional format and manner.
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to operate a wide variety of office equipment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check for the duration of employment.
