Information Technology Analyst - INF004330Employment Type : SGEU Term 9 months or moreLocation(s) : SK-Rgna-ReginaMinistry : 535 Provincial Archives of SaskatchewanSalary Range : $35.757-$43.530 HourlySalary Supplement : included in hourly salary range (in-scope)Grade : SGEU.09.About Us The Provincial Archives of Saskatchewan (PAS) is the provincial agency responsible for acquiring, preserving, and making available public and private records of significance to the history of the province, and providing records and information services to the Saskatchewan government. The Information Technology Services (ITS) team is a small and friendly team responsible for the information technology services of the organization. The Opportunity The ITS unit of the PAS is seeking a 1-year term IT Analyst with strong technical, communication and problem-solving abilities to help deliver all aspects of information technology and support technical and strategic objectives of the PAS. The IT Analyst is required to perform advanced troubleshooting and problem solving for all applications, server, storage and network and desktop related incidents within PAS. The Ideal Candidate Will have thorough knowledge of:Microsoft 365 suite including but not limited to M365 tenant, SharePoint, power automate, power apps etc. Enterprise storage technologies and administration: CEPH, File Storages Cloud Technologies: MS Azure and other Enterprise Cloud platforms Network and Security Administration: Network Architecture, configuration and setup, Active Directory, LAN/WAN troubleshooting and maintenance. Application Security: Risk assessment and Vulnerability management, Antivirus software Enterprise Data Life Cycle Management - Backups, DR, capacity planning, tuning and performance monitoring. OS: Linux and Windows administration. Will be responsible for Network, Security, server and Storage (CEPH) Administration, day-to-day maintenance, applying patches, security updates, software and hardware upgrades, backup, LAN/WAN maintenance, desktop support, inventory tracking, disposition, and website maintenance. The position will be responsible for technical support for all custom applications that reside within the Provincial Archives of Saskatchewan. Will demonstrate expertise in communicating technical and non-technical information verbally, visually, and in writing to diverse audiences, while educating colleagues and clients on IT matters, anticipating issues, and effectively liaising with both IT teams and management. Display a service-oriented approach with strong interpersonal skills, collaborate seamlessly with IT personnel, exhibit independence, organization, and proactivity in achieving objectives, and maintain diplomacy and resilience in handling technical or interpersonal challenges.The knowledge and skills required for this position would be attained through the completion of a post-secondary (diploma or degree) in a computer science program. Supplemented by 2 years of relevant experience working in a similar role, a combination of years of experience and training will also be considered.
