Client #39;s Digital, Technology and Security (DT amp;S) is comprised of several functional groups focused on project delivery, enterprise architecture, information management, application, and infrastructure management. The DT amp;S department consists of approximately 72 multi-vendor contractors and 106 employees.Our project management and execution approach typically combine the best practices of the PMI and RUP methodologies.The Project Manager responsibilities will include:1. Manage the budget, schedule, and scope of the project,2. Manage the delivery of the project, taking accountability for overall progress (schedule) and the use of resources (budget),3. Proactively escalate decisions, risks, and issues to appropriate governance bodies for resolution,4. Establish and maintain the project’s risk register, issue log, and change controls,5. Initiate corrective actions to mitigate project issues,6. Manage project documentation including project plans and meeting minutes,7. Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and deliverables,8. Timely project wrap-up, team release, lessons learned, and project disposition,9. Work as a project team member with peers to ensure progressive realization of improvements within the project management practice at the client.RequirementsClient is looking for an established senior level project manager (PM) resource to assume the leadership of a portfolio of projects for a one-year term with potential for extension, in the Digital Technology and Security group. The PM resource is expected to use their experience and expertise to successfully lead and deliver projects following established practises and templates while ensuring that Project Management Institute (PMI) best practices are being applied and followed. The PM resource will ensure that project processes, procedures and policies meet Business Application standards and expectations. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required. The resource is required on site at client #39;s Head Office in Regina, SK.The candidate will preferably have the following skills:1. Natural gas transmission and distribution / utility experience,2. Demonstrated proficiency in the role of a project manager, with a strong track record of successfully delivering implementations. This includes experience in managing assigned scope, adhering to schedules, and maintaining project budgets,3. Excellent written, oral and listening communication skills with audiences varying from end users to C-Level management,4. Experience in the project management of large, complex information technology Projects (e.g., implementing Customer Information System based solutions, etc.),5. Proven experience successfully delivering work management, asset management and inventory management solutions in the role of a project manager6. Proven experience successfully implementing Complex Integrated Solutions in the role of a project manager,7. Proven experience successfully managing vendor relationships and managing vendor relationships and commitments in the role of a project manager,8. Proven experience in using Project Management methodologies or other delivery methodologies such as RUP, Waterfall, Agile, and Six Sigma, to ensure project satisfaction,9. Experience in implementing business transformation projects that require significant process redesign and people impacts,10. Experience in Microsoft Project Server and SharePoint,11. Group facilitation experience,12. Proven experience as a strong problem solver and in making decisions and recommendations,13. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members,14. Proven leadership skills and leadership roles in career,15. Experience in integrating transformational level change management activities into a project plan and schedule,16.
