CUPE 5791 Job Family Category Staff Number of Vacancies 1 Position SummaryPosition Summary:Working within the Office of Research Services ( ORS ) and reporting to the Director, ORS , this position provides functional, analytical and technical support of systems developed on the Converis platform. A number of systems have been developed to support services for Research Grant Management, Research Contract Management, Ethics Management and Academic Performance Review. These systems are owned by ORS and Human Resources. This position will be responsible for platform updates, system change management, system issue resolution, user training and reporting related to the ORS systems.Primary Functions:Provide system administration of the Converis Grants Management systems. Support and enhance Converis platform configuration Manage and implement requested Converis system changes. Resolve Converis platform system issues. Develop and maintain Converis systems reporting. Develop and maintain Converis systems documentation and provide knowledge transfer users and relevant stakeholders. Coordinate training for end users. Perform related duties as assigned.Position RequirementsTechnical RequirementsCompletion of an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field. Experience with project management and Business Analysis would be an asset. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Demonstrated ability to couple functional IT knowledge with business knowledge to ensure user expectations are properly understood and communicated. Possess and demonstrate a high level of analytical skills with the ability to understand complex and diverse business needs when dealing with internal and external stakeholders Experience testing systems and building test cases Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., COGNOS) Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL) Demonstrated experience or knowledge in the areas of application programming, report development, database and system design would be an asset.
