Sports Program Coordinator Temporary (Canada Summer Jobs)Regina, SKCompensation: $15.20 / hourReports to: Manager, Programsamp; Operations Join us in our mission to change what it is to be blind in Canada. We #39;re looking for a mission-driven Sports Program Coordinator who is passionate about creating more accessible, inclusive, and equitable communities across Canada where people with low vision have unlimited opportunities and can experience life free from barriers and discrimination.Your Impact at CNIB

  • Provides information to the residents of Saskatchewan regarding programming for people with sight loss, blind or deafblind.
  • Assists with the planning and implementation of outdoor recreation programs for participants and special events.
  • Travels across the province with CNIB’s Tandem Bike program providing opportunities for the sight loss community to experience the passion for sport and recreation activities.
  • Assists and provides guidance for individuals participating in the CNIB programming.
  • Tracks attendance of program participants.
  • Executes invitation calls and follow-up calls to participants.
  • Administrative responsibilities in support of CNIB operations including answering calls and responding to in-person inquiries involving client service, special events and programming.
  • Performs general administrative duties as required.
  • Increases education and awareness of CNIB (volunteer opportunities, general public awareness, advocacy) through various communication channels, including social media, and community engagement.
RequirementsWho you are:Education and Certifications
  • University or college student preferred. Related Fields of Study include social services, disability studies, administration, communications, technology, customer service or equivalent work experience.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Experience working with the public.
  • Experience hauling a trailer
  • Clear class 5 drivers abstract
  • Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
  • Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.

  • Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment.
  • Be a Canadian citizens, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
