Join us today to launch your career with Canada Computersamp; Electronics!Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Network Administrator to join our esteemed IT department. In this role, you will be responsible for proactively monitoring and resolving any issues within our company #39;s data center and network infrastructure. Your proficiency in monitoring system and network performance, coupled with your strategic planning capabilities, will be instrumental in ensuring data integrity and mitigating risks effectively.Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer first-level support for network infrastructure across our head office and stores, promptly addressing any arising issues
  • Conduct continuous monitoring and auditing of network performance, security, and availability, taking appropriate remedial actions to sustain optimal system functionality
  • Employ analytical and logical reasoning to troubleshoot and resolve network-related challenges
  • Perform software and hardware installation, configuration, and maintenance, including proficient license software management
  • Safeguard data integrity and system security by executing regular data backups, maintaining system documentation, and implementing a comprehensive disaster recovery plan
  • Manage software installation and licensing
  • Oversee the management of multiple networks and security infrastructure within the business environment
  • Liaise with vendors for internet installation and upgrades for head office and stores
  • Act as the primary resource for addressing network hardware and operating system issues
  • Configure network monitoring systems to identify and manage potential threats
  • Continuously monitor network performance, assessing availability, utilization, and vulnerabilities through regular testing
  • Effectively troubleshoot and resolve or escalate system and network issues following established protocols
  • Using security tools to protect the network from hackers, malware, and other threats
  • Provide on-site installation and maintenance services for clients when required
  • Foster effective communication with colleagues across teams and company management
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned by Management
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in IT networking
  • Previous experience with Cisco switches and routers preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in analysis and troubleshooting methodologies
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux, Windows, DB, Exchange Servers, Azure Cloud, VMware and computer networks
  • Participate in service capacity planning, demand forecasting, software performance evaluation, and system tuning
  • Maintain servers, load-balancers, and data storage across a variety of locations
  • Network operating systems knowledge - as well as knowledge of programming or scripting language - is highly valued
  • Proficiency in clustered and virtual storage solutions
  • Efficient in crafting, analyzing and fixing large-scale distributed systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IT Security
  • Active Directory experience
  • Microsoft Office 365 experience required
  • General familiarity with IT security management and PCI compliance knowledge preferred
  • A good understanding of HTTP traffic, content delivery and caching
  • Excellent command of computer hardware and software, with a proven track record of successful implementations and maintenance
  • Worked in a start-up environment is preferred
  • MCSE certification a plus
  • CISSP, CCNA, or CCNP certification a plus
