The weekend Team Lead that will oversee operations Friday/Saturday and Sunday shifts and front-line Youth Worker shifts on Wednesday and Thursday.Shifts are rotational day/evening shifts. Connections, located in the Richmond Hill Housing Hub, a one-stop, full service center for youth care and support where at-risk youth can access safe, supportive housing for the day, the night or for as long as a year, together with a full range of new and expanded 360°kids programs designed to help kids get back on their feet, right within their home community. 360°kids Home Base Drop-in Centre, located in the Richmond Hill Community Hub, supports youth who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, by providing them with food, clothing, counselling, recreation, employment support, education, life skills, and connecting them with services to meet their needs. The Youth Worker at Home Base will provide client centered, hands on support for all youth attending the 360°kids Drop-In program; deliver ongoing life skills support and mentoring; including registration and daily documentation while promoting an empowering, positive and safe environment.Reporting to the Manager of Youth Hub Programs, this dual role of Weekend Team Lead/Youth Worker will oversee operations of the Youth Hub including the 14 Emergency Housing beds (Connections) and Home Base Drop-In centre on weekends and support youth as a Youth Worker on weekday shifts.Duties include selecting and facilitating activities aimed at achieving the desired outcomes of the program; oversee a diverse team of workers to deliver sound and innovative programming and care for at-risk youth; ensures key relationships with funder, community partners, and others having impact on the program; assesses the immediate needs of youth, provides support by providing basic needs and achieve success in transitioning to securing housing; works with staff to ensure program success while positively contributing to 360°kids as an organization. QUALIFICATIONS OR SKILLS REQUIRED:Post-Secondary degree/diploma in a Child/youth related field (e.g. Child and Youth, Social Service Worker, Social Worker, Psychology, Sociology) or the equivalent combination of education and experience working with youth.Minimum of three years’ experience working with “at-risk” or street involved youth and minimum one year supervisory or management experience.The ideal candidate will possess:
