Job Description

Golden West has been connecting communities for over 60 years. We are proud to tell local stories on Classic Hits, Country 104 and West Central Online. And together with Homefield, we are proud to help local businesses grow through effective advertising, marketing, and organizational development solutions.We are looking for a News Reporter/Radio Host to join our team. You will partner with the West Central Online content team to present stories that matter to people in our community.The News Reporter/Radio Host will: · Gather local stories: You will listen for the questions people in West Central Saskatchewan are asking. Then you will find leads, interview sources, and verify information along the way.· Craft content: You will write radio and digital news stories, prepare photo galleries, and edit videos.· Deliver news broadcasts: You will record and edit news reports for Classic Hits and Country 104.· Cultivate local relationships: You will develop relationships with local stakeholders and news sources.· Host the Classic Hits Morning Show: You will deliver entertaining, and relevant radio shows. When conditions allow, you will appear at on-location events and broadcasts.You should apply if you: · Are passionate about storytelling and have a knack for finding what matters most to the audience· Have excellent writing skills.
