We are dedicated to transforming agriculture and developing more sustainable farming practices.Who we’re looking for: A reliable, hard-working, and enthusiastic Sales Agronomist in Saskatchewan to join our growing team. The Sales Agronomist will educate and consult with growers and retailers about micronutrient application, and give recommendations on the proper use of crop input products to address agronomic concerns with the intent of promoting our product. This role will be a key part of the Business Development team and represent our brand within the community and surrounding service area.Your responsibilities: As a member of the Business Development Team, your primary responsibilities include:- Direct outreach and meet new and existing clients on a regular, systematic basis and able to scout and qualify prospective clients.- Provide support and knowledge of Lucent Bio products to different channels such as retailers, growers, and wholesalers.- Offer agronomic support, services and recommendation, and crop production advice to clients.- Plan, present, and organize client meetings and plot demonstration days- Conduct field diagnosis of crop health issues including weeds, insects, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.- Participate in trade shows, field days, and grower meetings.- Undertake assigned sales, marketing and agronomic training.You’ll be a great match if you have these skills & experience: - You have a minimum bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Ag Business, or a related field with at least three (3) years of experience.- You have sales experience in the agriculture sector.- You bring extensive knowledge of crop inputs including agronomics, agricultural technology, and the latest trends in crop production- You enjoy building rapport and relationships with clients- You take pride in being a self-motivated person, fast learner, team player, and creative problem solver- You are friendly and personable with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal- You have excellent documentation and organizational skills with impeccable attention to detail- You can successfully juggle multiple tasks and have outstanding time management skillsYour compensation + benefits- A competitive base salary- 2-weeks of vacation- Extended health coverage- Long-term disability coverage- In-house training provided by Lucent BioSciencesWhy work for Lucent Bio- The culture is dynamic, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial- Your coworkers are collaborative, proactive, and interesting.- Your compensation is comprehensive, competitive, and can include benefits like extended health insurance- Your priorities matter.
